Job Duties:
• Analyze and validate power grid models from ISOs, utilities, and developers to perform load flow studies, renewable energy forecasting, contingency (N -1) analyses, and production cost modeling;
• Conduct LMP forecasting and evaluate correlations between day ahead commitments and real time pricing;
• Perform transmission and generation outage impact studies and assess FTR market exposure using shift factor and LODF calculations;
• Execute portfolio decomposition analytics, stress testing, and congestion risk assessments to inform hedging strategies;
• Develop automated SimAuto applications to streamline power flow studies; and collaborate with traders, engineers, and data teams to strengthen grid resiliency and market operations.
Job Requirements:
• Education & Work Experience: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, plus 36 months of experience in a role involving advanced power flow analysis, congestion risk modeling, and FTR analytics.
• Skillsets Requirement: Advanced power flow modeling and simulation; predictive data analysis using R and Python; portfolio analysis and stress testing of FTR paths under varied market and outage conditions; and power flow automation studies using SimAuto.
• Travel Requirement: Travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. may be required
Offered Wage/Benefits:
• $123,635 per year
• Medical/dental/vision, 10 days PTO
